Hello future Aggie! My name is Curtis Wilhelmi. I am excited and honored to be able to meet with you to help you begin your journey here at New Mexico State University.
I was born and raised in Wisconsin and graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Communications in 2021. I love role-playing games, fantasy, traveling, and sports. New Mexico is a very beautiful and unique location, and I instantly fell in love with the landscape and people. I can’t wait to tell you all about what New Mexico State University has to offer as there is no other college experience like it in the world!

To register for classes, you are required to attend a New Student Orientation. Orientation is where you will meet with your academic advisor to discuss your degree plan and register for classes. To sign up, visit awo.nmsu.edu

Your myNMSU account will be your portal for email, registration, scholarships and much more! Visit my.nmsu.edu, click on ‘First-Time Users’ and complete the steps to create your myNMSU account.
Students who are first-time, full-time undergraduate students admitted to the Las Cruces campus are required to complete a housing application or exemption form. Log in to your MyNMSU, click on the Student tab and select ‘MyHousing’. Once in MyHousing, at the top of the screen, you will see the Application drop-down menu.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), is an annual application a student submits that determines qualification for federal aid, including grants, loans, and work-study. You will submit your FAFSA form at studentaid.gov.
